Premium Potato (urulakizhangu) in a 500 g pack. Potatoes are one of the most useful vegetables in the Kerala kitchen: in vegetable stew with appam, in the masala for masala dosa, in potato roast, mezhukkupuratti, chicken curry and kurma, or fried as chips for the kids.

They also make an easy base for cutlets and add body to sambar.

Store potatoes in a cool, dark, airy place, not in the fridge, and away from onions. Cut off any green patches or sprouts before cooking.
