Fresh Mint Leaves (puthina) in a 50 g pack. Mint is essential for a fragrant Malabar biriyani and goes into mint chutney, raitha, mint lime (puthina naranga vellam), and marinades for chicken and mutton.
A few leaves also freshen salads, buttermilk and lemon tea.
Pick the leaves off the stems just before use. To store, wrap the bunch loosely in a paper towel and refrigerate in a closed box, or stand the stems in a glass of water in the fridge. Use within a few days.
