Fresh Carrot in a 250 g pack, ozone washed. Carrots are an everyday vegetable in Kerala homes: grated into carrot thoran with coconut, cut into batons for aviyal and sambar, added to vegetable stew, fried rice and cutlets, or simply eaten raw in a salad.

Carrots also add colour and sweetness to beetroot or beans thoran when mixed together.

Store carrots in the vegetable drawer of the fridge, in a cover or box so they stay crisp, and use within about a week.
