Fresh Beans in a 250 g pack, ozone washed. Tender green beans are an everyday Kerala vegetable: chopped fine for beans thoran with coconut, cooked as beans mezhukkupuratti, added to vegetable stew, kurma and aviyal, or used in fried rice and cutlets.

Beans and carrot together make a colourful thoran that goes well with rice and sambar.

Store beans unwashed in a cover or box in the fridge and use within four to five days. Snip off the ends and strings, if any, just before cooking.
